This guide will help you decide what services to use to locate the research materials you need; how to identify and select appropriate articles; and how to conduct a literature review.
For this assignment, you will need to consult articles from scholarly or professional journals; for future assignments and classes you will likely need to use other resources offered by the library such as books and e-books; you may also need to request journal articles or books from other libraries. And you will be working online much of the time.
Whenever one of the libraries is open, there is someone who can help you with your work! Hours of operation for the Arrendale Library are posted on the library’s web site, and you can always find telephone numbers in the footer of all Library webpages, including this one.
You can also use the Ask a Librarian! service to chat with us or send us e-mail requests for advice.
All College of Education faculty require the use of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition, as the standard for making citations and references in your papers. Here is a detailed guide to that Manual from the Purdue University Online Writing Lab, the Purdue OWL. You can also contact any Librarian for assistance!
