  • March of Time
    From 1935-1967, American theatergoers and television watchers were witness to Time Inc's unique and controversial film series, The March of Time. Now, for the first time, this groundbreaking series is available in online streaming video in a single, cross- searchable collection designed specifically to meet the needs of researchers, teaching faculty and students. The videos have been restored to their original luster by HBO Archives, allowing viewers to experience these historic films as audiences did in earlier decades. A program of interest to Piedmont College students and faculty will be Miss Smith of Georgia, a 30-minute interview with novelist and social justice activist Lillian Smith.

Full text articles from general interest publications, covering virtually every subject area of general interest; also includes full text reference books, biographies, primary source documents, and a huge image collection of photos, maps and flags.

    MathSciNet offers access to reviews, abstracts, and bibliographic information for much of the mathematical sciences literature from 1940-present. MathSciNet contains almost 3 million citations for journal articles, books, and conference proceedings and over 1.7 million links to full-text sources in other library-provided services such as JSTOR. Most other English-language articles and books can be obtained through ILL (Interlibrary Loan). Users should preview these online tutorials to learn how to search effectively.

    MEDLINE Complete provides full-text articles for over 2,400 of the most prominent journals used in all areas of medical research, many with no embargo. Based on the MEDLINE index, long the comprehensive standard research service in medicine, MEDLINE contains citations from 1857-present and full-text articles from 1865-present. Subjects include biomedicine, nursing, pre-clinical sciences, behavioral sciences, bioengineering, health policy development, life sciences, health care administration, dentistry and veterinary medicine. MEDLINE Complete is indexed with the National Library of Medicine's Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), which uses the standard vocabulary used by professionals in nursing and medicine. Linking to full-text articles in other services is provided.

  • Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests In Print (EBSCOHost)
    Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) contains full-text information on commercially-available, standardized English-language tests covering educational skills, personality, vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas. Includes test name and classification, author(s), publisher, publication date, price, time requirements, existence of validity and reliability data, score descriptions, levels, and intended populations. Published reviews of the tests are referenced. MMY is a publication of the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements at the University of Nebraska and provides coverage from Volume 9 to the present. Tests in Print (TIP) is a comprehensive bibliography of all known, in-print, commercially available tests in English. TIP provides test purpose, test publisher, in-print status, price, test acronym, intended test population, administration times, publication date(s), and test author(s). A score index permits users to identify what is being measured by each test.

  • ProQuest Military Journals
    ProQuest Military Journals Collection includes topics such as international relations, political science, criminology, defense, aeronautics and space flight, communications, and civil engineering.
