  • Bates' Visual Guide to Physical Examination
    Bates' Visual Guide to Physical Examination is a classic resource for the professional development of nurses, athletic trainers, and other health professionals. This video series provides step-by-step instruction in physical examination. Patients and examiners represent diverse age groups and cultures to provide students with a well-rounded, realistic view. Bates' emphasizes health history and documentation and patient/practitioner interaction and communication. (The OSCE Clinical Skills Video series are not part of the Piedmont College subscription, despite the fact that the links are displayed.)

    Television adaptations of all 37 plays by William Shakespeare, produced by the BBC between 1978 and 1985. All productions are traditional interpretations of the plays set in either Shakespeare's own time (1564 to 1616) or in the historical period of the events depicted (such as ancient Rome for Julius Caesar, or c1400 for Richard II etc). Casts include notable actors such as John Gielgud, Ben Kingsley, Claire Bloom, Helen Mirren, Anthony Hopkins, Michael York, Alan Rickman, John Cleese and Derek Jacobi.

    Birds of North America (BNA) is a comprehensive reference service covering the life histories of over 716 of North America’s breeding birds. BNA began as a static printed book, but is now a dynamic online resource that is updated frequently, with contributions from researchers, citizen scientists, and designated reviewers and editors. BNA Online contains image and video galleries showing plumages, behaviors, habitat, nests and eggs, and more. And most online BNA articles now feature recordings of the songs and calls of their species, recordings selected from the extensive collection of Cornell University's Macaulay Library of Natural Sounds.
